Responsibility for safeguarding, risk management and case decisions remains with the organisation and relevant professionals.

Consultation discussions are approached respectfully and professionally. However, confidentiality may be limited where there is:

  • a safeguarding concern

  • serious risk of harm

  • legal obligation

  • regulatory requirement

  • professional duty to disclose information

Where possible and appropriate, concerns would be discussed with the relevant organisation.
